Car salesman a good job?

I have an interview coming up with a Honda dealership, they told me the first 6 weeks they will pay me $400 plus train me. I'm not sure if I should take this job. I know the economy is getting better but I'm nervous about a pay check. I read online that if you don't sell any cars you don't get a check. Plus I've never sold cars in my life. Any feedback would be great.
