Microsoft Word 2010 won't let me look up words in the dictionary?

I am trying to use the dictionary on my Word 2010 and it tells me that I'm not connected to the internet. I've checked it and rechecked it. As a matter of fact, I'm on now asking this and it still doesn't work. I need help. PLEASE
