Should I get TiVo or different DVR?
I currently have had cable TV service with Charter Broadcasting Network for 10 years and have not and still do not have DVR service in my household. I want to be able to set my TiVo - or other DVR system that I end up buying - to record shows when I am not home, through my iPhone or through my laptop. I also want to be able to watch shows recorded by my DVR on my computer through my network connection. I do NOT, however, wish to subscribe to anything with TiVo. I only want to record and watch TV I have through Charter, not any movies from the internet that TiVo can offer me. I do NOT wish to switch to Dish Service (yet), so please dont recommended that I do. If anyone can refer me to a service that works with Charter that has all or some (in that case, which ones?) of the features I want to use my DVR for.

What to do about an itchy scalp?
My head itches constantly. I have no lice, I checked just a few days ago. But my head has itched for months! I scratch my head a lot and I have some dandruff. It feels so irritated, especially at the back of my head. Sometimes I scratch it so much it hurts. Could it be my shampoo? I use Herbal Essences. My hair gets oily too, and if I ever don't get a shower one day, the next day it itches a lot. The water in my shower is hard water and has a lot of pressure. I always let my hair air dry. After I get out of the shower I get the excess water off with a towel then let it dry naturally. I usually go to bed with my hair still kind of wet. Could a new shampoo, maybe Selsun Blue work?

She has not looked for a job, the truth is that she want to be payed for taking care of my grandfather. Okay. So, for the past two years now, my parents have been trying to get a divorce. Since then, in 2009, I started cutting my arms kind of deeply with razors. I was twelve. I cut my hair really short, and I went to school, and people would ask me if I was emo, or if I was goth. I told them that I wasn't and to screw off. Then, since I'm in orchestra, and a really high up chair, my orchestra teachers got concerned, but, I only found that out this year. I had gotten a therapist to talk to about my problems, but I never wanted to. Ever. I like her, but, I don't like having to explain my life to someone I didn't know. Then, I started to cut more. In 2010, my parents started a rotation since my dad wanted to see me and my brothers more. But, that changed when my Guardian Ad Litem stepped in and screwed up our lives, so we're living with dad. Since then, in August 2010, there was a huge fight between my mom, Dad, two cousins, Grandma, my older brother, who's sixteen, and me. Thirteen year old Courtney. Since then, my dad's lost his eyesight in his right eye, and we never have money. He takes our money and is always asking us, a thirteen year old, and a sixteen year old, for money. We say no, then he gets mad and runs a guilt trip, saying that we hit him in his eyes, when I never fought him. I tried to break up the fight. He comes at me like he's going to hit me, and he slaps me in my mouth. I can't help but cry, and it hurts, knowing that it's like this. Today and yesterday, I had to go to school with a swollen lip. He's hit me in the head, and he's slapped me. But, I never told anyone like my Grandmother told me.He once asked me to give him $66 for the mortgage, which I didn't have, and when I gave him my cash, he threw it at me and he told me that he can't trust his own kids, how we made him lose his eye, how my mother and I plot against him, trying to get him out of the house. I always take care of both of my brothers. The oldest is 16, and the youngest is 7. They both have autism, so I have to be the one to take care of both of them, food and hygiene wise. He leaves and works, leaving us with his cousins from 3:45pm-9;00pm at nit on Weekdays from Mon.-Thurs., and they've told him that when I cal my mother from there, I tell her they don't feed us,which I NEVER said. Plus, They've talked behind my back, and I've heard them. "Crybaby, Liar, Snitch," etc. My cousins all live in one house, and they are: 1 55 year old woman, and I'm cool with my cousins L(21) and P(23, had surgery). But T., The 24 year-old, who lives with her son there, talks smack about me, and my other cousin tells me. She thinks I'm a liar, and she tells her 8 year old, Elijah this, who tells me, but I love her son. I hate it there. Except for P. and L. But, anyway, then, this school year ((2010-2011)), I've had a hard time focusing. I've gotten kicked out of AAP and put in general, my father yells at me and always bad mouths my mother, and my grandmother, who's ARM he broke! SHE HAD TO HAVE SURGERY BECAUSE OF HIM! I HATE HIM! I ran away once, down the street to where my Grandma and Grandpa and Mom lives, and they police made me go back to his house. He tells me about his lost right eye, about how he can trust us, and recently, he went to jail for Hit&Run and expired car tags and expired license and I was in the car. I walked all the way to my Grandparents and mom's house ((5 miles.I was in a different neighborhood)) and now I have a tiny tear in my shoulder form that accident and he didn't call me or my brothers at our Grandmother's house for 7 days. I missed my All State Orchestra audition, and everything because of my shoulder, and he didn't ask me how I was feeling at all. He asked me why I told them. He still talks about how I'm so terrible, and how I always take up for Mommy, and how I plot against him, and how I'm so stupid for getting kicked out of AAP, and how they're liars. then, I try to avoid him. I don't even feel like doing anything anymore. I don't want to go to school, I don't want to play my instrument, I always put up a happy facade, but I'm not. I stay in my room all weekend and I'm depressed. I think about killing myself, about killing my father, about how would life be if I died...Am I being abused by my father? am I depressed...? What's wrong with me? Thanks.

Can you get bed sores from your wallet?
Ok so about a month of so ago I noticed a pain in my butt check under my wallet when I would sit down. I didn't think much of it, until it after 4 weeks the pain was still there and when I began to investigate I noticed that I had a series of little bumps in the area, approximately the size of a pencil eraser. Maybe because its a money order so no way to trace the money from a money order. If you were writing a personal check you would be able to show documentation of you depositing the money in your account and writing a check for earnest money. Otherwise even though you have bill of sale and title that still doesn't show how you paid for the money order. You could have paid for the money order with different funds.

u use the comptuer to send out letters, vs hand writting them and place the address of the house and useing s tamp to get it to go where u want it to. also going by snail mail it takes longer as well, and some times it gets bump and it gets returned to the sender. also it takes alot of people to transfer the mail to point A to point B, than just using the computer and the internet.

Can someone help a physic major with career advice?
I am a college grad, who graduated three years ago. Graduated with a bachelor of science in physics. My job for the last five years has been tending bar, the same job that supported me in school. Due to my work schedule and other activities, I wasn't the most focused student. This of course caused gpa to suffer to about a C average, with little supplemental experience and direction. I am very well rounded bright guy capable of much more. Plus my time in the food service has taught me to be very charismatic. My question is what my best career option is? People tell me I should have no problem getting a job because of my degree alone. I know with the proper training I could be a huge asset but when i look at jobs that interest me or I could possibly excel at I get so discouraged by qualifications and requirements. Would not mind even going back to school for my masters or even another bachelor in like engineering of some sort, but at this point in the game i am kind of hoping i can just find an employer that would train me. A question about refunds and manner of payment?
ok so i have tried to return things before and when i expected to get cash back they said they would have to put it on my credit card because that's how it was originally paid. well anyway i bought this expensive *** book for one of my classes that turns out "isn't really necessary just helpful" for my class. wish my teacher would have told me that sooner. anyway do u guys know if i return this would they put the money in my account or would i be able to get cash. also don't say everyplace is different cause i am really poor so i try to return most of my Christmas presents every year and i am never able to return the ones paid with credit cards because the money would go to the person who bought it for me. so the policy of returns is pretty much the same every where u go. i mean obviously the policy of what u can return and for how long u have until u cant return it is different but i mean the policy for how u get ur money back is the same everywhere

I once thought of her as friend but as I got to know the sister, I told her what was going on and who was behind the false calls and why. How do you find out what is causing your credit to be bad?
My husband didn't have any credit (not good, not bad). He took a loan out for a truck and we have paid it on time in full every month. When I had my daughter the hospital (like most) screwed up our insurance. I had two insurances at the time and instead of billing ONLY the one that covered my entire pregnancy, they billed both. They started sending us bills. I explained to multiple people their mistake but they sent it to specialized management services anyways. They ended up sending it to the credit companies and therefore my husband ended up with a bad mark. Finally I got hold of the right person at SMS and they took it off. Ever since my husband turned 18 he hasn't been able to get a credit card because he never had "enough credit history". Recently we were sent something to apply for a card and they denied us because of "delinquent past and present obligations"? I'm not quite sure what that means. We want my husband to have good credit. All of our bills have always been paid on time and in full and we don't understand why his credit would keep coming back not good enough? Any suggestions?

Recieved paychecks after termination?
I was terminated from my job and a little over 2 months later i received 3 paychecks in the mail, after already knowing I had retrieved them all before I left the place. The actual pay is for 0 dollars and 0 cents on all three and they all say I worked 0 hours but was payed for " incentive-reimbursed." It is less than $20 total, but I was taxed for this, AND they deducted union 132 dues from me. I am now wondering if this is something I should be concerned about when it comes time to file taxes. I'm also wondering why union dues were taken out, as I paid them weekly. I was fired in November, and all checks are for pay periods in December. It is now January. Please help, I would like to know what I should do about this.

Feels like the flu, but no fever?
I feel like i have the flu. Horrible headache, my face & body feel like there on fire, then i'm chilly. My whole body feels weak & my throats been scratchy. It doesn't matter if you asked for it or not. They made an accounting error in your favor and you cashed the check. Sorry to say since you were not actually supposed to receive the payment you will have to pay it back. They will most likely set up payment plan for you.

There is a rather handsome guy in one of my college settings...he is known for not talking much. In fact recently another girl wrote a note to him(I guess not all of us are very mature) asking him why he never talks...I wasn't there to hear/see his reply. But for whatever reason he is always flashing me this undeniably flirty smile. And once he blatantly did a double check to smile at me when I was walking behind him. Silly old me, I took this to believe he was interested in me, especially when someone else brought up a hobby of mine and he instantly jumped into the conversation and talked to me for a good 5-10 minutes. This is how the conversation ended---he asked if what I do is a partner thing and I informed him about another hobby that is similar to mine that falls under that category and I mentioned that I had invited someone else to come with me but they couldn't go. This is when he got kind of quiet and just nodded his head and looked down while smiling and said that he would think about trying the stuff I mentioned. Why do I say I am silly for believing all this meant he was interested in me? I found out that he has a girlfriend...who goes to the same college but is younger than both of us...but she seems very outgoing and apparently...she likes to do the hobby he was asking about. So I felt really naive for believing he was interested in me so when I saw him again for the first time since I found out he actually ended up sitting right next to me and he greeted me with a warm "hey" and I said "hey" back and that's it. We proceeded to go 3 whole hours not saying another word to each other. He definitely seemed distressed by something because he kept putting his hands on his head and leaving the room...but maybe he was just tired. I realize now that it may have been rude to not ask him how he was doing or anything, but he never asked me either. So I am wondering if what I did was rude and if I should try and remedy it next time. By the way that same day(that we didn't talk), when I first saw him, I was in a room adjacent to the one that I'm usually in and he walked by it twice, the second time he looked in directly at me and smiled flirtatiously. One of the main issues here is that I don't want to do anything that might make him think I like him because of the fact that he has a girlfriend and that's disrespectful. But at the same time I don't know how to talk to him without doing that because when I'm talking to him I can't help but smile. Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a monitor for my new computer. Its an HD LED 1080p monitor with DVI and VGA inputs. I need some advice about my consolidated student loans.?
I have a check for my student loans for 25,000.....its from my employer and I want to pay my account in advance for two years then make monthly payments on my own to apply to the principal. When I told this to my lender, they said that my monthly payments would not even be enough to cover the interest that accrues daily. My question is...if I am paying my account two years in advance, shouldn't whatever I pay go directly to the principal balance? I don't know what to do. Hi, I am an eighteen year old female. I'll start out with what I am feeling right now: I was in bed reading and I started feeling sick so I went to the restroom. I felt very cold and my temp was 95.9, then I checked it again a few minutes later and it was increasing steadily (96.2 +) I ended up peeing a lot and had very, very light diarrhea. I feel like my heartbeat is changing rapidly from faster to slower, causing me to panic myself into breathing problems. I find myself having to pee again (really badly) and I have already been twice in the last five minutes, but I have to pee so badly my stomach hurts. This happened to me back in September of last year and I vomited and had a low temp. It stopped for a little and then one day in November or December I vomited out of nowhere again and started feeling the same symptoms..it keeps coming back but for only a short period of time. I was thinking maybe food poisoning or bacteria or something trying to leave my body since I vomit and have to pee and have diarrhea. I also had congestion (really bad congestion where it affected my breathing) for about a month or more. That is gone though. The only medication I take is birth control (pill form daily right before I go to bed) the birth control is called Tri-Previfem and I have been taking birth control for about two years or more. Please help me diagnose this or help it!

ok... so i heard there was a compressed version of the download Runes of Magic, so i decided to check this out since i have a crappy internet connection and it would take about 2 days literally to download the 7.5GB version. Stolen check was cashed. Legal action needed?
I lost a signed paycheck. It was cashed by whoever found it at some store. The store tried to cash it at the bank and was rejected as it had been canceled. The people got in touch with my job and now they want their money back. Apparently, they say they have a copy of my id (obviously not my actual id) when i went to cash it. Why do people get mad when old threads are revived in message boards or forums?
I've seen this a lot on message boards/forums where people learn something or have something new to add to a really old thread. After they post a lot of times theres some jerky person who chimes in and tells them that is was stupid to revive a thread because "that was from over a YEAR ago check the date!", or something else blah blah blah. I don't understand this. How come it is a problem to revive an old thread and especially why is it a problem when there in new information to be shared from it? Isn't the purpose of a message board supposed to have a place where information can be shared? What is up with this dumb message board etiquette where people have to be apologetic for doing things that are normal? Are people stupid?

Slight headache(if that?) in back top left of head?
For the past week i've had small pains in the top left back area of my head. its not really a headache but more of a pain that will throb for a few seconds then go away. it has been coming and going for a little while now and ive just been taking asprin which seems to help. it has slightly gotten worse but not a whole much. its not too bad of a pain either, nothing to moan about but im just curious if this could be something serious. i have had a panic attack a few days ago since i suffer from panic disorder and it seems everything is making me paranoid(yes i know what a pussy right? god i had f***ing panic attacks! if youve had one you know what i mean) and would just like to know if i should maybe get this checked out. could it have been the attack that caused this?

I have a family member who has 4 month old twins and i feel like they are not taking care of. This family has always been dirty but these babies smell so bad you can tell they don't get bathed. I watched them over night once and one had a horrible diaper rash. when i see them i always have to clean ear wax out of their ears that is falling out. Their house is not in good shape i almost broke my leg falling into a hole in their floor. and they only have one crib for both babies together. Should i confront my sister in law or just call social services?
my husband and i live with my parent in laws as well as his brother and girlfriend. she moved in 2 years ago with her daughters 2 small daughter who are 4 and 5 right now. ive never liked the way she desciplines her daughters or the fact that she lets my brotherinlaw discipline them too. when theyre in trouble i think they get hit becuase i hear sounds like skin contact and then they put them in timeout in theyre hallway which is closed off to the rest of us with theyre hands up in the air. ive asked the girls before what happens to them and once they told me theyre mom hit theyre hands with a shoe and pinches them and a whole bunch of other stuff althought i checked them and couldnt find anythong except red marks. my mother in law says shes told her stuff and has proof but i know it isnt true and ive always been scared to say something cuz i dont know whos side she would take and how the family would react. today my niece came home and told me her mom scratched her on her beck and punched her on her forehead ans showed me proof. i took pictures and videotaped her telling me excactly what happened. i dont know what to do all i know is that im sick and tired of allthis. how can i let this happen in my own house. i feel horrible but dont know what to do. if i call social services will they take them away when my sister in law doesnt have family here. would my mother in law be able to keep them even though theyre not related. im torn and need to make a decsion. or should i confront my sister in law n tell her if she does it again im calling social services.

Under certain situations there are Saturn parts that are extended in warranty by the factory. I know in one case the transmission was replaced on an older Saturn because the factory had been having so many complaints. Call your dealership and ask to speak to the service manager. I think my 8 year old son has LD and I do not know what to do!?
He is not reading, writing, spelling or understanding directions. The school had a meeting with me in November to discuss my sons issues. I told them that my son's father has LD and his older brother by another mother also has LD. At no point did the 8 representatives from the school even speak with me about testing or evaluation by the district. I live in Miamisburg Ohio and I read that by law they are required to provide these services at no charge. Each day my son's confidence level is getting worse. Today, I was called by the principal of the school to tell me that my son refused to do work and she only had one secretary in the office and he was asking for help because he did not know what he was reading and he was told just do it, I do not have time for this. The principal gave my son three time outs at recess for the two days for this. When I spoke to my son, he was at his intervention reading specialist and was not in class for the assignment so the teacher told him to find the answers and take the test. Well, he failed it again. I am so frustrated and my sons behavior is getting worse, he is shutting down and I do not know how to handle this. Can anyone give me advise? I have been working with him at home and he is not progressing and now he is acting out.

So I went up there with my friend aly. And then when I got up there he looked SO nervous and aly and my friend Sam agreed. Then he just said "wat would u like?" kinda quietly. And I looked for a little bit, and I asked for our schools pencil. So, he gave it to me. And then he had to figure out the change for it. And it was akward. Then he hands me the change and his hand was shaking! And then I say thank you, and walk away. My friend aly was up next to buy somethin, and he whispered "your welcome." softly, and he sounded nervous, and he just stared at me! And then went back to business. Does this mean he strongly likes me?
